Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 13 September 2026

These are the terms for playing Map'd. By using the game, with or without an account, you agree to them. See also our Privacy Policy, which covers what data we collect.

Using Map'd

Map'd is free to play. You can play the daily challenge and join multiplayer lobbies without an account; creating an account is optional and adds leaderboards, friends, and a saved history across devices.

You must be old enough to consent to the use of an online service in your own country. If you are a child, please ask a parent or guardian before creating an account.

Your account

Keep your account credentials to yourself, and let us know if you think someone else has access to your account. Your display name and results are visible to other players, including on public leaderboards — see the Privacy Policy for what exactly is shown.

Playing fair

To keep the game fair and pleasant for everyone, please do not:

  • use bots, scripts, or other automation to submit guesses, play rounds, or otherwise interact with the game on your behalf;
  • exploit bugs to gain scores or an advantage you would not otherwise have, rather than reporting them;
  • choose a display name, or send lobby chat messages, that are abusive, harassing, impersonate someone else, or are otherwise likely to upset other players; or
  • attempt to disrupt the game for other players, including other players' lobbies.

The service as it is

Map'd is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We do our best to keep the game running and your data safe, but we do not promise the game will always be available, error-free, or uninterrupted, and features may change or be removed as the game develops.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, Map'd — this is a free game, played for fun, and nothing in it should be relied on for anything more than that. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account that breaches the "Playing fair" section above, or that we reasonably believe is being used to abuse the game or other players. You can stop using Map'd, or ask us to close your account, at any time — see the Privacy Policy for how.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the game changes. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent change; continuing to play after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute relating to them will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.
